ANGEL FOOD LATTE

March 19, 2026 – Kristin Faison

@the.coffee.machin8 Shout out to @Chantel | mom 🤍 for this one. I tweaked the ratios a bit for my own taste, and it was delicious! When I made this one my middle child said he had never heard of Angel Food Cake!! 😱😱 I went ahead and let him have this as a temporary substitute, but I'll need to fix that soon because it was my favorite as a kid! Angel Food Latte: ❤️ Double Espresso ❤️ 1/2 C Milk ❤️ 1Tbsp Cupcake Syrup ❤️ 1/2Tbsp Hazelnut Syrup ❤️ 1/2Tbsp Vanilla Syrup ❤️ 1/2Tbsp Caramel Sauce + Drizzle Cold Foam: ❤️ 1/2 Tbsp Caramel Sauce ❤️ 1Tsp Vanilla Syrup ❤️ 1Tsp Hazelnut Syrup ❤️ 2Tbsp Heavy Cream ❤️ 2Tbsp Milk Line a tall glass with caramel sauce drizzle and full with ice. Add milk, syrups, sauce, and espresso. Froth cold foam ingredients together in separate glass until doubled in volume and use it to top off your latte. Drizzle caramel sauce on top. I can say that despite never having had angel food cake, my son loved this latte! #coffee #coffeetiktok #coffeetok #latte #icedlatte #icedcoffee #coldfoam #Breville #brevillebaristaexpress #baristaexpress #angelfoodcake #fyp #creatorsearchinsights ♬ Angel - Shaggy

This bakery-inspired iced latte tastes like angel food cake in a glass. Cupcake, hazelnut, and vanilla syrups layered with caramel sauce and topped with a sweet cold foam — it's the kind of drink that makes even picky teenagers steal your cup.

Ingredients

Angel Food Latte

  • 1 double shot espresso
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 Tbsp cupcake syrup
  • 1/2 Tbsp hazelnut syrup
  • 1/2 Tbsp vanilla syrup
  • 1/2 Tbsp caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzle)

Cold Foam

  • 1/2 Tbsp caramel sauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla syrup
  • 1 tsp hazelnut syrup
  • 2 Tbsp heavy cream
  • 2 Tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Drizzle the glass. Line a tall glass with caramel sauce drizzled along the inside walls.
  2. Build the latte base. Fill the glass with ice. Add the milk, cupcake syrup, hazelnut syrup, vanilla syrup, and caramel sauce.
  3. Add espresso. Pull a double shot of espresso and pour it over the iced milk mixture.
  4. Make the cold foam. In a separate glass, combine the heavy cream, milk, caramel sauce, vanilla syrup, and hazelnut syrup. Froth with a milk frother until doubled in volume (about 30 seconds).
  5. Top and finish. Pour the cold foam over the latte. Drizzle extra caramel sauce on top.

Tips

The cupcake syrup is the star here — it gives the drink that distinctive bakery-sweet angel food cake flavor. If you can't find cupcake syrup, a combination of extra vanilla and a drop of almond extract gets you close. Torani and Jordan's Skinny Syrups both make cupcake flavors. I can say that despite never having had angel food cake, my son loved this latte!
