The Flow Control Filter Cap replaces the standard AeroPress filter cap and adds a one-way silicone valve that slows the brew. The result is a more controlled press, a longer steep without dripping, and the option to brew with the AeroPress upright instead of inverted.
Why it works
- Silicone one-way valve. Coffee stays in the chamber while it steeps, instead of dripping through. Brew without the inverted-flip routine.
- More control over the press. Slow the plunge for higher extraction, speed it up for a brighter cup.
- Drop-in replacement. Swaps onto the standard AeroPress and the Clear AeroPress without modification.
- Dishwasher-safe. Handles repeated cleaning, holds shape over time.
Specs
- Compatibility: AeroPress Original, AeroPress Clear (standard size, not XL or Go)
- Material: Food-grade plastic, silicone valve
- Function: One-way drip control valve
- Care: Dishwasher-safe
Setup and care notes
Use a paper or stainless reusable filter as normal, the cap goes on top. Rinse the silicone valve regularly, since coffee oils accumulate there over time.
Who it's for, who it isn't
Right for AeroPress users who don't want to invert their brewer, or who want longer steep times without the drip. Not necessary for users happy with the inverted method, since the standard cap works fine.
